I will start on 28th January with an in-reach day, demonstrating to patients and staff how storytelling can fit into the ward environment and routine. I will also meet with the senior nurse managers to present the findings of my research study and how storytelling can have a positive influence of the therapeutic relationships in a forensic hospital setting.
The residency aims to teach front line staff and patients on the wards how to develop grow storytelling clubs in their setting. At the end of the residency the work will be comprehensively evaluated. This residency is part funded by the NHS and the Arts Council Wales. I, with the help of participants from the Caswell clinic and Taith Newydd, will present at the conference “Stories for Health” 16th – 17th June 2017.
